Diabetes comes in two forms - Type 1, which can run in your family, and Type 2, which can be caused by other factors.

How do I know if I have diabetes?

Symptoms may include:

  • Weight loss - even when eating more (Type 1)

  • Tingling, pain, or numbness in the hands/feet (Type 2)

  • Urinating often

  • Feeling very thirsty

  • Feeling very hungry  - even when eating more

  • Extreme fatigue

  • Blurry vision

  • Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
