Standardized Evaluation Rubric: A detailed rubric will be used to evaluate each application, ensuring consistent assessment across all candidates. The rubric will focus on objective criteria related to the eligibility requirements and selection priorities.
Redacted Applications (if possible and applicable): Where feasible, application materials may be redacted to remove identifying information such as name, institution, and other details that could trigger unconscious bias. This allows reviewers to focus solely on the content of the application.
Committee Training: Selection committee members will receive training on recognizing and mitigating unconscious bias in the evaluation process.
Diverse Committee: The selection committee will strive for diverse representation in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, and background to ensure a variety of perspectives are considered.
